so guys, thanks first again...
We had a great 1stAC and a great cinematographer. I will post the final version next thursday evening when the grading and the editing will be done.
35mm filmout is neccessary to see how the red image work on the big screen. there is a big difference between displays and a 100 square meter big screen. we will project the final version on a good 2k beamer and also to see what the arri laser will do with the material ... :)
The workflow on apple works for my opinion best. we batch processed via compressor the proxy files and used it for offline editing. after that the post will process the files which are needed for onlining in a tiff sequence to have the full chroma/luma space. i am very interested how it will look then.
we opened one frame of a dark picture in photoshop and in the areas where only black was shown, were detail in. absolutly great.
so i think there are much more issues to be done. the camera looks like there were some really good cinematographers missing, which will give a input specially at building a camera at its hardware design/engeneering.
but never the less it is a great camera...
when i look to linear lighting of the picture which is delivered from the sensor, i will say you have to give one stop additional to measured one, then you are on the point.
we measured every lens and the only one which were out of back focus, was the zoom. but don't worry. the lens brings for the price a well picture. the point is that it is not interior focused. looks like a sigma or something else.
so thats my first impressions....
best regards
rainer
