Smoke on Mac cannot detect RR with their Extended version for use with MC color. RR is detected with SP5 though. Lim

To my knowledge, there is no extended Smoke on a Mac version. You're probably thinking of a subscription version...

Jake - should SP3 ext1 that support MC Color but not RR. Smoke SP5 support RR but not MC Color. Wonder if there will be an ext for SP5 that will support MC Color. Lim

My understanding, that only subscription version of Smoke supports MC Color as is a dual monitor support. I suspect it will change.

    Hi Lim,

Smoke 2012 will be out early April. This upgrade is a major one and will hopefully address your problems.

I don't have a RedRocket yet. How does it perform with Smoke? Can you elaborate a bit?

    Thanks,

    Hans

    Hi Hans,

Still in the dilemma of using which options - MC Color or RR. Will ask my engineer to do some tests with the RR option and come back to you shortly.

Thanks Lim! Looking forward to your findings.

I'm not sure regarding Smoke and MC Colour. I haven't test it yet but I heard that it's performance with Smoke is a bit sticky, at least with Smoke 2012. I have some hopes that Smoke 2012 is also improved regarding GPU performance and CW. For me as an old school Discreet fanboy a A3 Tablet is the most comfortable interface.

For Rocket support you need to have firmware version 1.4.6 or higher for 2012 and SP2(service pack)
