  1. #1 OFFHOLLYWOOD shoots VFX on RED for Night at The Museum 2
We are moving too fast to update our website or send press releases - so here's some RED related news from camp Offhollywood -

Aldey Sanchez, co-founder of Offhollywood, is on his way back from several days of shooting VFX plates in Washington DC on BOND (RED #0007) for NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM 2 - he shot full 16 x 9 4K - VFX team was blown away and used the words "incredible" and "amazing", specifically blown away by the dynamic range and detail. They were shooting national monuments at magic hour each day. (no you can't see the footage - don't ask)

This follows several days of providing cameras and support for 2nd unit and pick-up shots, including work with cast principal Hayden Christensen for Doug Liman's film JUMPER - see trailer here -

We start shooting our second "all RED" feature starting November 27th (wrapping our first "all-RED" feature next Monday) - and we currently talking to 4 other feature productions with budgets ranging from $600,000 to $20,000,000 for Red cameras, support and post services - and yes, we have some other early reservation holders on "stand-by" as we will need more cameras before the end of the year -

HUGE thanks to Jim, Jarred, Stuart, Graeme, Rob (and of course TED!!) and the whole RED team for building these damn things - and their AMAZING support and willingness to listen to feedback and ideas - it truly makes us feel part of the revolution.

After five, long, hard years of growing Offhollywood from nothing, we are FINALLY having FUN!!!

    JUMPER is sweet.

Dynamic range is, after all, the measurement between well saturation (photosite blowout) and noise floor.

    Thanks Adrian.

One ALWAYS needs luck. As you can't always plan for bad luck, it's good to collect good luck when you can.
