In Leopard -- SPACES. F8 will show you the way.
And it runs just fine on my Trash-80 I hacked to run OSX. I just need to find a way to splice a longer tape reel so I can put that 235MB R3D file on there.
While we're at it, my hippie cousin wants to buy a RED and he's desperately selling all the fresh herb he can grow to raise the funds. It's going to take him a while, so no rush on this, but he refuses to run any OS other than Ubuntu. Any chance of a REDCINE Linux port?
...Yes, that paragraph wasn't entirely serious. I was kidding about everything except my cousin being a hippie.
tell the cousin to call me, im running low.
By fresh herb are you referring to sage and thyme etc? 'Cause if its the other thing he is selling, he'll be RED in no time.
oh geez - i just exported to import into AVID and then pushed color correction in avid very hard and MY GOD did it stand up well. It takes a whole lot to make this image fall apart - and this was WITHOUT preprocessing in Redcine - so if you do it right its even better
all i can say right now is wow. Great stuff
the only issue is the export time to export files for editing systems - if you shoot 20-30 hours for a feature it could take 6 months to have the files ready :) - I hope that will get better
I am completely blown away at using Redcine! Easy install, slow on my old P4 computer, but whatcha gonna do. This seriously is the funnest program I've used for a long time! I don't consider myself a colorist AT ALL but playing with Redcine has been a lot of fun. Here's just some fun...once again, I'm not a colorist. I'm just blown away at how far I can take the image and have it still look excellent! Great job guys! Can't wait to get mine!
Note: Any artifacts you are seeing are because of my inexperience with outputting from Redcine. The footage is prestine! And sorry for the large image...couldn't resist.

I tried both F10 and F11... none minimized the program... F10 does turn an image border line on and off though, so thats nice. At the moment I'm hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up my task manager and from there I minimize it, small price to pay I suppose, Lustre is the same way :/
F11 will only work on a Mac - it's an Exposé feature.
For Windows it's the standard ALT + F9 or Windows key + D
For Mac OS X it's F11
p.s. Brook: it's build into REDCINE, goes around Expose
