how to strip IN/OUT metadata?

i imported an xml a while back and made 1 second R3D trims for a project. when revisiting the footage, i can only access those short one second sections of the clips

You can option click the set in/out point buttons in the viewer to clear the in/out point for a particular clip. Or in the bin you can right click on a single clip or a group of selected clips and choose to clear in and out points.
