Okay, please forgive the ignorance here, but I keep coming up to a brick wall. I've been cutting proxies forever, exporting xml to clipfinder, relinking to R3D's, then importing into grading software from there. It's all been going great and images/grading is wonderful.

Now, I'm simply trying the transcode route for some stuff. It used to work great in Red Alert pre-MX/pre-build 20. Now when I transcode out of clip finder the prores look yellow. If I transcode through Redcine-x it looks washed out and highlights look clipped.

I've searched this forum high and low. Tried all kinds of suggestions, but nothing works. Perhaps I missed some sort of install that is required. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

You can't use the same method for MX as you did for M because those old programs aren't supported anymore. Basically they are trying to interpret MX footage as M footage - it compensates for the OLPF on the M instead of the MX which gives your image that green tint, and rather than seeing your footage as 800 ISO it sees it as 320 ISO shot at 800 which makes it seem washed out (I know of a DP convinced that you shouldn't shoot MX above ISO 500 all because he was grading from an improperly transcoded file rather than the RAW :/

First thing you want to do is make sure you're working from the latest Redcine X - if you are you will cease to get the problem of your clips washing out and turning green. From there you can go ahead with Mark Toia's method if you feel so inclined - I recommend setting your colorspace to Redcolor 2 rather than CameraRGB as he suggests though as the CameraRGB colorspace has been obsolete for quite some time and is not longer recommended by the Red Team.

Yup, let me restate what has already been eloquently stated by Jake. Use the latest RedCine-X. Problem solved.
    Cheers
