We have been testing this internally as well..

So far we have got 100FPS to 2000FPS... works well on most shots, except for things that cross in the foreground of the shot.
    Pretty impressed so far....

Some of the GO PRO guys showed us. Very cool things.

There is a risk of going the post route for slowmo. Your test might look great and then when you shoot the real deal it might not work at all. So my tip would be to shoot 3k until you got a good take. Then switch to 5k and shoot some more. That way you do not have to trust luck.... and have a 3k backup route. After a while you might learn what shots work and so on, but then all of a sudden you get those small errors that where hard to foresee on set that just ruins it for you and needs advanced CG to be covered up.

Well the test I'll be doing will be done in one of the most professional environments, and by a crew of highly skilled pros, in their individual fields.

Its important not only that all is good at capture, but that the test is then continued at its best in post, and not only test on eProgram, but all available one to see which one yields the best results.

Ideally, I would love to avoid all together to have to buy Phantom Cameras, and also not ever shoot below the 5K resolution.... ;)

Are you exciting about 6k+? Talking with the major lens makers last weekend they were saying that most lens would have trouble with 6k, that perhaps they weren't' made/prepared for it. I am not sure of the exact reason but they made it sound like the higher K value rises, the less lenses will be supported.

I've seen small vignetting at 5k on my RED ZOOM 18-50mm. I assume what will happen at 6k is more vignetting? Maybe you could shed some light on the technical considerations of 6k+ in regards to lens mechanics?

Also, I feel in love with the Angenieux 24-290mm zoom this weekend, wondering what long lens optics makes you excited?

Yeah, definitely looking forward to the DRAGON 6K sensor, I want and need every extra MP of resolution and size increase on the sensor as I can get for my Frame Grabs... ;)

Lenses? I'll worry abut it once one of our Epic receives the upgrade, and start testing, but wil be actually the opposite as far as coverage, were the lenses that don't cover 5k now, could cover 5k later.
