temperature problem under +3° C

I am really hoping that the camera can handle the cold. 90% of my shooting is in snow conditions and usually at night to boot...
Please keep this thread going so we can all learn more about the possible limitations of cold weather work with the Red.

I know the voltage of the battery was OK!
I used LI Elite Batt´s fully charged; I worked with this type of battery on about 100 HD shoots in the cold, in the real cold, colder, much colder than
-3!

It was definitely not a power prob!

Obviously, I'll take your word for this. Still, although voltage is ok, it does not imply the battery is able to feed enough current. The power is a product of voltage and power. Typically, in cold, one will first run out of current before the voltage drops. But as said, no reason to suspect any longer it was a power issue.

Ya so that will work for -3 to -5. But things can get to -30 to -40 quite easy on some days. Better answers are needed.

I can confirm that, we are often shooting at -10 to -20 celsius outside in the winter with our hdcams.
