    I am really hoping that the camera can handle the cold. 90% of my shooting is in snow conditions and usually at night to boot...
    Please keep this thread going so we can all learn more about the possible limitations of cold weather work with the Red.

    AFAIK, Sony rates their cameras for 0 deg C.

    Obviously, I'll take your word for this. Still, although voltage is ok, it does not imply the battery is able to feed enough current. The power is a product of voltage and power. Typically, in cold, one will first run out of current before the voltage drops. But as said, no reason to suspect any longer it was a power issue.

    I can confirm that, we are often shooting at -10 to -20 celsius outside in the winter with our hdcams.
