    any special reason the v-lock mount is not directed the opposite way so you can slide in the bricks from on top?
    would be faster to change, and is there a hotswap ability?

    You can mount the V-plate so it works like you describe. I mounted it looking down, because this way the top is clear incase you have mounted a long plate on top of the camera.

    Off topic:
    This is the type of stuff that begs for a Redmote charger base. Apparently the only way to charge it is on the back of the camera, so a new product from Red would be necessary for long days. Though perhaps a charge during lunch would suffice?

    Great Job, Brian, if you want to send one to Rome for testing we'll be more then glad to give it a good spin... ;)

    Roberto, we charge our Redmotes on our MBP more often then not, when using it lots.
