Dumb Question - Does RedCine affect Quicktime Proxies

So say I want to do some color correction with Redcine while I'm editing Redcode in Final Cut Pro. I don't want to export anything, I just want to effect the color parameters of the .R3D file when it plays back through the quicktime codec. How can I do this? Or am already doing it and I just didn't know?
