Realy nice how you kept the shot going after the F1 car was completely out. You can still see the pieces of tire (that may have already be on the track, or may be from the F1 car itself) flying though the air.

    Very cool, thanks for sharing!

how did you finnish it? RedCineX to ProRes? It looks clean, did you add any noise reduction?

    Prost,

    Hey Phil,
don't get too carried away! lets see if you can keep that post average below 1.00 (per day that is, but seeing how post challanged you are maybe you could go for 1.00 per year) Who let the dog(s) out. he he he!

Just in case you wanted to see a little more for our EPIC f1 shoot. This is a mixture of 5k 120fps and 2k 300fps.
The way EPIC deals with this situation is different class. The functionality of the camera allow's you move fast and change settings and set up's so easily. The budget for camera dept. wasn't exactly...... shall we say abundant (not the first time we've been faced with that) but we were still able to do the work and get the results.
It was truly a pleasure to be involved with and many more EPIC days to come!!

Hey Giles, Some really nice shots in there. Those 300fps shots with water, particularly the car driving through water looks fantastic. Nice job! On the driving shots, like when you were following the car on the track, and CUs on the wheels, how were you operating? Was the camera stabilized?

The camera was on a fixed mount on the tracking vehicle. A combination of it being a race track and so very smooth, and the fact that we are shooting at such a high frame rate meant that it seemed very stable. But thanks both for checking it out
