Just picked up 5 Ultraprimes from Arri :)) and will put an order on one more.
I need a new case for 6 lenses, all 95mm front
Not sure what size should I get...and where can I have the foam cut for it.

I am all storm or pelican, but open to other options.
Any advise would be very appreciated. Got remote shoot next week...

I got the Pelican case for my set of Panchros... (the 1560) perfect. Mine came from zgc with lasercut foam. These are mostly 87mm fronts, so not too far off....

    thanks Christopher
It's close, but not sure if it'll cut it.
Found a supplier link to do a custom case based on the same model, but more questions raises...
any idea on what kind of material should I use:
open cell Polyurethane, closed cell Polyethylene, or Anti-static foam

    thanks

Hi Albert - Are you against an ATA case like this one from Innerspace Cases?

    thanks !

Innerspace looks great, but I wish they were waterproof.
Perhaps I could buy just the insert from them.

I'm a big fan of Storm cases (better latches than Pelican, IMO), at least in part because of weight and being waterproof.

That said, when considering a case for lenses (especially some lovely, brand new UPs), I really think the added rigidity/protection of an ATA/Innerspace style case is the way to go. Perhaps there's a way to add silicon to the lip of the lid to aid in further weatherproofing, but truly how often do you think you or anyone else will be leaving this lens case in a full-on deluge or at a river's edge as the water's rising?

Pretty much every rental facility I've visited uses these cases for almost all their equipment, certainly their lenses...these cases are proven when it comes to protecting an investment. Sure, they're heavier and less comfortable when carrying them around, but if anyone besides yourself is going to be moving your lens case around, favor more protection.
Between the great things we cannot do and the small things we will not do, the danger is that we shall do nothing.

I just send them request to fit custom made foam into the storm; if not possible I'll get the aluminium.
    thanks again for the info.

We use Plastazote foam in Pelicases. Usualy we get the foam Lasered over here to suit the case. What ever foam just make sure its closed cell. You don't want any water in there.
