FedEx dropped off my CamTram today. I've rented a CineSlider, Matthews Doorway Dolly... have my own garage built skateboard wheel PVC track Ghetto Dolly.... yada yada yada

CamTram is THE SHIT. The thing is built rock solid and is smooth as silk. I know others here have touted it's virtues but I just have to add to the pile. I am so pleased with this thing! Pricey, yeah, but I don't think I will ever regret this purchase.

What was you reason for shifting to the Dana Dolly? Looking at their website it seems like speedrail on stands would be pretty bouncy in the middle.

I've said it before. If you're looking for a portable mini dolly, nothing beats the CamTram. What really makes the CamTram a superior choice over the Dana Dolly is the new "Track In the Box" which was designed exclusively for it. www.TrackInTheBox.net. It's modular design is truly the most portable and innovative solution on the market. There is a direct link from the CamTram site as well. The Dana Dolly and its track options are simply not as smooth as the CamTram/Track In The Box combination. Even if you already have the CamTram, The "Track In The Box" will blow away the ladder option. With the price of aluminum on the rise, prices are likely to go up before too long. Check it out.
