No the ASPH version will not work. Rule of thumb for the SpaceCam Leica M mount on the Epic is that all lenses whose rear elements protrude beyond the lens mount itself will not work. The straight Summicron 35mm will work.

Lenses that are mountable with the Spacecam Leica M Epic Mount are:

The Tri Elmar 16-18-21 set at 21mm
The Tri Elmar 28-35-50mm (all 3 focal lengths useable)
The 35mm Summicron T2,
The 35mm Summarit F2.5
I just want to make special mention of the 50mm F.95 Noctilux...jaw dropping performance even wide open!
All lenses over 35mm are useable on the Epic.

Thanks...of course...Is this true? So I'll need a PL mount 2 use this adaptor with Leica M glass?

The answer is NO way to get Noctilux on Canon DSLR cameras because FFD (Flange Focal Distance) of Canon EOS mount is 44mm and for Leica-M is 27.95mm.
