In my - apparently never-ending - quest to find a workable storage solution on my mac:

After phantom Red Rocket transcoding troubles with my Seritek esata card I turned to
the Atto H680 (thanks for your input on this Jeff Kilgroe) ready to ascent into storage heaven.

Except: I was apparently not quite meant to be...

Here is what I am trying to do:

I want to run one Raid tower on one of the multilane ports. And use an esata
fan out cable on the other that I need to use my Red Station, external esata drives

AND my existing Seritek Esata 4-bay enclosures.

Turns out that the Atto H680 with the fan out cable might not support port multiplier enclosures.
Which would be a bit of a dealbreaker.

Does anybody have any experience with that ?

    Thanks

    Axel

According to this, the ATTO cards support port multipliers with the latest firmware.
