Not sure of anything dedicated to location sound but try looking at Mix, Sound on Sound, EQ, Audio Media for starters.
Cofey Sound in L. A. has a great professional newsletter that I read. It's free. You can read or download off their site.
Coffey Sound's magazine is now called Sound and Picture, and downloadable back issues are available for free at this link:

If a "Video" magazine is also of interest to you then you should have a look at:

They usually have very cool stuff.
