Long-time editor (and Reduser.net reader) but first time cutting a feature shot on Red. My FCP is fine working with the QT proxies and I'd rather do as much in Redcine-X as possible, but syncing audio has got me stumped. A little help from someone who's DONE this would be appreciated.
I've figured out how to sync up the audio files in Redcine-X (build 454) along with the color correction that needs to be done on the clips. However, I can't seem to figure out how to EXPORT the synced file out to a new or updated R3D file with QT proxies? Or even better just export new QT proxies into the R3D folders?
The audio option is dimmed when I try to edit the R3D Trim export settings. The only way I can seem to export audio is via a new QT file, but that creates an unholy large QT Prores file and I might as well just transcode into FCP and sync there if that's what I'm faced with. (Yes I HAVE read the manual and searched the forum before posting for help.)
If Redcine-X will actually sync audio and export QT proxy or new R3D then hopefully I'm just missing a step somewhere and someone can point me in the right direction. ANY help would be appreciated. Thanks!!
