Hi Mike ... I have been "stuck" reading and doing the workflow the "old way", and been pondering your trendspotting blog and what you have written in this area (i.e. your view on the merge of production with editing and decentralized post).
I'm in the middle of a "emotional" decision to think of myself more as a compositor then a director/editor/producer/etc ... since i find myself compositing between vfx,footage,music,storyline. The "old" roles don't make sense to me with my new workflows. I'm trying to get arms around this type of industry change that you have mentioned, but am having a hard time just feeling confident about how I'm doing things, then second guessing everything. Do you have any guidance for people that are going through these emotionally wrenching changes which are caused by the major trend changes you have written about?
