I love my RED mattebox, but I want to use it with small Canon and Nikon lenses- does anyone have a good source for adapter rings that will work with it, that go smaller than 110mm?

Apologies if this has been solved elsewhere- I did a couple of searches and didn't see anything that popped out to me.

    Thanks!

On a related note, can still lenses handle the strain of having a mattebox clamped on?

Oh, yeah. Your mileage may vary, but the RED mattebox is wicked light. About as light as the one stage plastic and aluminum clip on mattebox I used for years with my HVX200 and Nikon glass. And I never had an issue with a lens body having issues holding the weight or dealing with the torque.

    Hi Patric,

For use with my birger mount and a mb20 I have used step up adapters to make every lens external dimensions fit to a 85mm ring standard. The 82mm stepup has external dimensions 84.5mm which with a little rupper band fits nicely. I wouldbe a bit nervous hanging a lot of weight off the lens but havn't tested as I use rods.
