Sorry this took 5 weeks to post, but it's been a crazy Autumn. I've posted some .tiffs of stouffers and lens resolution tests, some frame grabs of a short and one QT (1K H264). I have more to share when I get some more down time in a week or so.

Targets that appear lighter than the background are proof of sharp lines. The other targets appear to merge into the background.

The highest numbered DS target that is still lighter than the background indicates the degree of sharpness of the lens/sensor combination

If the last visible target on the negative image of the sharpness indicator is weak while the one before it is clearly visible, the last one can be counted as 1/2 of a DS unit.

    DS 1 10 lines/mm
    DS 2 13.3 lines/mm
    DS 3 18 lines/mm
    DS 4 23.5 lines/mm
    DS 5 31.3 lines/mm
    DS 6 42 lines/mm
    DS 7 55.5 lines/mm
    DS 8 73.6 lines/mm
    DS 9 97 lines/mm

Anything above DS 6 is considered excellent. The Red Zoom easily resolves DS 6 or 42 lines/mm. In some cases it resolves another 1/2 DS which would put it at 48 lines/mm.

Were you doing these tests with Trew Audio here in TO?

And if so, do you know Kieran Quan from Trew ?

He is a friend of mine, and I know they were working on getting the audio workflow setup for a red system.

Trew gave us a clockit box and appropiate cables so Red was in sync with sound. The sync worked fine for us. I think PS has done some addtional sync sound testing on there own though.

Just uploaded a second page of resolution tests with the Zeiss High Speeds and a new 4k .r3d (and a QT 1K downconvert).

I've seen the tests, Gregorios. There is a significant rez improvement in the last circle. Sadly, some aliasing remains. It is interesting to see theat the camera blurs the right side of the circle. Does that have an explanation?

I've cropped the image to show that.
