Need to rent a RED EVF ASAP: shooting with a rented Red now, but the lack of playback via SDI is pretty annoying with a Red LCD... when trying to use any other monitors, its just too cumbersome for the operator... if anyone has a Red EVF (i know there are very few around) and is willing to rent it out ASAP until Dec.30th,2007 please let me know

There are only two out there. I got playback both via SDI and HDMI by using the 720 option just right of the HDMI selection. with a shortcut on the right LCD button to take you back to the LCD. I did this with firmware 10.

you mean you have SIMULTANEOUS playback the RED LCD and HDMI in build 10?

Build 11 allows EVF + HD SDI
Currently it is not possible to use Red LCD and another monitor at the same time.

all you need to accomplish what you are asking is a simple aja converter which can lay into the red drive slot of the battery cradle. you can get hdsdi out to a video village, a second monitor and sdi out for ntsc monitoring. it works quite well.
