Just a word up. We are still having issues with getting Aperture control when mounting the Canon 600mm. This is the case with both our Epic and Scarlet.
It's hit and miss whether the control comes up, and we can't work out why the hits happen. I.e. one time you mount it the lens it will come up then the other 20 times you do it won't. Given the size of the lens we are being very careful how it mounts in and ensuring we get a clean connection and hear the clicks.
If anyone has tips, thoughts or experience with this please let me know.
cheers

Even so Zooms, well, some of them at list, like the case of the latest edition of the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS, the primes will always be the Best.
So if you are looking at which is the best lens, as in which one has the best image quality, then always look at Primes never at Zooms, if looking at which lens is the most versatile and best for a specific type of work, then look at Zooms, but the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L will actually be the best zoom, also the most used and versatile zoom in the entire Canon line up ever, just wait for the V2 to come out... You'll agree... ;)
The 24-70 is not just about what it gives as far as focal, but the particular look it gives, a unique lens on its own.
Among all of the disadvantage of this lens (push pull zooming, f stop change), has anyone find it useful with Epic for extreme sports and live music performance shooting?
