I'm keen to know what you don't like about the bomb. I just took delivery myself and Im not 100% Im keeping it. I also think the picture appears less superior compared to the original evf. Blacks seem more milky and i seem to get morr tearing on straight edges. I get better results on the RED ONE than I do the Epic. Im hoping there will be a firmware upgrade to improve things. My eye position also seem to play a more critical role in seeing a clean image. Unlike the original EVF if my eye is slightly off centre you don't get a clean image. So far the only obvious improvement to me is the size . I've been asking for some constructive feedback on the forum from other users but no one is chipping in. Is it just me that feels this way? Have I got a faulty Bomb? I'll be sending mine in for evaluation as soon as I get a gap in my calendar. In the mean time I feel like Im using a compromised product. Am I alone?

Get my bomb a few weeks ago. Nice but with the Red, I prefer also the old EVF (more comfortable, better outside the center). The bomb is the good choice for the Epic, but for the Red, the EVF is still the best choice.

I love my bomb but concur on all your accounts. The bigger screen and being able to be a little off center was a plus to the old one but I don't have any qualms about my new Bomb. I only wish it was a little bigger screen to see both heads up displays at the same time. Other than that I don't really miss my old one.
Also when I set up my viewfinder I adjusted a few things in the viewfinder menu to make it more appealing for my likes.

Do any body know if an optical upgrade of the Bomb EVF could be possible?
I think the LCD quality is great but the optical mangification could be better.

I have an original EVF for sale if anyone is interested. Great condition, probably only 25 hours use!

Oddly, I was going to ask this question this evening...

So, I also was wondering if the original EVF functions on the Epic.... I love the size of the Bomb, but buying a used EVF MKI and being able to soend the balance on a Canon mount would be nice!

Thx for the assist and well timed thread Zakaree
