oh yeah. go joseph go...
Exactly my feelings ... I'm now wondering how much longer we will have to wait for Scarlet, now that Joseph ponied up for an EPIC-M!
That being said, Joseph has worked hard, travelled the world and been a loyal friend to a lot of people who I'm sure worked just as hard to help him. And if you think of it, the cost of an EPIC-M kit is only about a quarter the cost of a college degree and I'm sure it will get him a lot further in his chosen profession.
I actually have a potentially interesting question for him that some might have wondered about ...
Why buy the Canon Mount + Canon Glass instead of one RED PL lens like the 17-50? I would think the price difference is relatively low and you could have started shooting right away instead of relying on the Canon mount's shipping schedule. It would drive me mad to have the camera, lens and no mount to go shooting with!
D
Joseph has had his camera for only a week and has already hustled a handful of jobs with it... enough so to pay off a healthy little chunk of his investment already.
The guy is ambitious, hard working and 100x more of a gentleman than I will ever be. It is guys like Joseph that everyone needs to keep an eye on....
CONGRATULAZIONI JOSEPH!!
You know how much I have been waiting for this moment, and words can't describe how happy I really am for you in receiving... At last... your very own EPIC M!!
Agreed, Red cameras are not hard to finance/pay for if you're resourceful and hustle -- Joseph is lots of both.
Also, he's a great guy who has helped many in the community tirelessly, definitely very gentlemanly behavior. We will be hearing from him a lot I'm sure ....
I'm very happy for you Joseph, having only met you once (At NAB This Year) your professionalism, friendliness and high level of knowledge was immediately apparent. Being a young professional myself at 22, I applaud you on your recent step forward and wish you the best of luck in the future with this amazing new tool!
Congratulations Joseph.
Congrats Joseph. I'd have given a kidney to have a camera of that caliber when I was your age. Enjoy.
