In the December issue of HDVideoPro Magazine, there is an article on both the RED One (and SI:2K), which features our own Mark Pederson of Offhollywood Studios and DP, Paul McCarthy (in the RED part of the article).

It is not a comparison of the two Cameras and no field tests were talked about, but it certainly had a lot of positive vibes for RED. They covered a lot of ground in a short article, which included a bit of history, camera specs, basic workflow, projects in production, and even a quote from Jim that came from RedUser.net. :)

All in all, a great little article for RED and well worth checking out.

I RED it yesterday. Nice article. It's good to see that they are talking to guys who are putting the RED through it's paces day to day.

Also, Mike Curtis's article appears in DV magazine this month. There may have already been mention of this somewhere, but for those who missed it check it out.

Nils, It would be strangely wonderful if this were one and the same Paul but somehow I strongly suspect this is yet another Paul McCarthy. I was once almost not allowed on a plane from New York to Los Angeles because there were already 6 other David Wilsons on the plane.

Yes, "strangely wonderful" is what it would have been. We need more avant garde Red footage!

For the record, there's only one other person with the same name as me. He's exactly 60 years older than me, and he's not a cinematographer.
