Having the same issues on a 17" MacBook Pro (Early 2010 model) with 10.7.2 installed connected, via Sonnet Tempo SATA Pro ExpressCard|34.
Same problem: MacPro 10.7.2, Sonnet Tempo Sata E4P and RedMag 1.8" .... won't recognize the Redmag ... did fine in 10.6.8 The Sonnet driver info says Lion Compatible.
Deanan / RED folk? This seems like a consistently reproducible bug. Any comments?
I have all 3 of the Sonnet Tempo ESata cards and I only have this problem with the Pro card. The standard Tempo and the new Sata III 6Gb/s work fine with the Red SSD's, so I think it's a Lion compatibility problem.
Russ - what sort of throughput are you getting with the Sata III Expresscard?
I have a similar problem with Sonnet fw800 Pro express card. I got the warning once when I mounted, and every time I tried to copy SSD's using R3Dmanager I got copy errors. Reader and one drive connected to sonnet fw800 and other drive connected to native fw port on computer. little scary till I solved the problem. 10.7.2, brand new sonnet card reader (old one died before I went lion)
once I stopped using card- all copies went fine.
Getting bit with the same problem. MBP Sonnet Pro card not recognizing card via esata. Works via FW800.
Ouch.
Sonnet needs to get their shit together. Apparently there's some issues with other eSATA devices in Lion and the Sonnet cards, not just RED Station / RED SSDs.
Are there any updates on this?
My Sonnet E4P does not work with the redstation under 1.7.2.
Must be the drivers.
I emailed sonnet today to their supportmail.
Did anyone had any feedback on this from sonnet and/or red ?
