    Currently only 2k resolution available is 2k 2.4:1 -- I'm curious when/if 2K 16:9, 2k Anamorphic 2:1 or 1080p RGB (16:9) resolutions might be enabled?

Good question. This has to be a "when" certainly.

I think the only 2K output available currently is 2.4:1, which if cropping for 2:1 or 16:9 gives considerably less than 2K.

For shooting high speed, it will be great when 2K 16:9 or 2K 2:! is enabled - especially for those of us filming wildlife.

I agree that it has to be "when", and hopefully that "when" will be sooner than later... :)

When? It is listed on the RED website under Tech Specs already as an acquisition format ( http://www.red.com/products/epic ). Would be really helpful for a firmware build to activate this for Epic M.

Still hoping we can get a build soon that implements this - hopefully firmware v2?

2k 16:9 (and 2k 2:1 in a pinch) is crucial for the sports features we do. they are mostly shot high speed (100-120fps), with 2k ENG lenses (bl adaptor) on the red one mx.

With the Epic currently only having 2.4:1, it makes the side crop and blowup to 1920x1080 for delivery a little to much of a stretch.... It many not hit 300fps because of more pixels, but anything would be great. We really want to use the our epic for some projects starting soon, but are having to stick with R1 till an update provides this.

    fingers crossed soon....

It seems this thread is being ignored by any administrators that have any knowledge of the possibility of this implementation?

Please, if anyone has any information on this, please shed some light on the situation. There are people in need of this that were led to believe it was available upon purchasing the kits.
