  1. #1 Schneider vs. Formatt
I am on the verge kicking down for some filters and was wondering if anybody could offer some opinions on Schneider vs. Formatt? Schneider has traditionally been the big dog in this arena but I have been hearing some good things about Formatt. I would love to hear anybody's experience and what they think. Thanks for the advice.

Panavision is mostly using Schneider filters:

    (I have been told this..)

Tiffen release 2 types of glass in their filters, standard and white glass.

The white glass filters have much better optical characteristics, but are significantly more expensive.

Formatt filters are all white glass. They are significantly cheaper than Tiffen's standard glass.
