I understand many things can change on Nov. 3rd, but I wanted to see if I am just missing some vital information. I never saw a zoom rocker for the Scarlet and there is only one ring on the Scarlet F. So how can you zoom in/out and keep focus?

There is a rocker on the handgrip. But the pictures donīt indicate how smooth it is, or if it is a binary fake rocker.
You will definitely be able to zoom and change iris with the handgrip and focus on the lens + other combinations.
Thanks. I guess I just missed that.
Since you know a bit about this subject...What is the deal with the concept art of the REDmote with FF on the back?
I have no idea. I assume that the REDmote isnīt shipped with the base package, so I didnīt look into that.
Just my 2 cents...if it's not in the package, i'd put an order in before years end. Regarding the Redmote.
I think the render he is talking about is the one with the redmote pro, which has a full follow focus wheel attached to it. It was announced a while ago and still in development(I hope... or I hope it's done) so who knows it could be part of the Nov 3rd announcements as well. It most definitely will not be included in the base package, though if it is available I wouldn't be surprised if you can substitute it in for a price.
edit: Tim beat me...
I would expect to be upgrading as you go. Things will improve. RED has shown favor in upgrading equipment that people have held onto. Such as the Heatsinks on M's that are now on X's. There Modularity design and friendliness to the consumer is outstanding. I'm always upgrading my camera gear right now. I wish it was a company that cared rather than just looking for a quick buck. I'm pretty sure something similar happened with Version II of there 17-50 lens where those who owned the 1st series could send them in for upgrade?
Could be wrong. Just saying. Things change and always for the better.
