Wondering if anyone has a recommendation for best "consumer class" 42 or 46 inch display?

    Panasonic Plasma
    Panasonic IPS Alpha LED Display
    Panasonic IPS Alpha LCD Display

    Something else?

I think all of the above are capable of 10 bit color... Will research more closely soon.
    Any opinions?

The best pro-sumer quality Plasma from Panasonic starts at 50" - VT series.
If it's not for grading and just watching pretty pictures, you could buy a cheap LG and be happy.

Can you show me the difference between the ST Series and VT series?

    http://www2.panasonic.com/consumer-e...702#tabsection

This 42" ST has X.V. Color, Deep Color, "Pro Setting", 3D color management (LUT ability?) - seems to be the best "prosumer" in its class.

Not trying to be argumentative - I quickly figured out why NOT to get the IPS LED and LCD panels after reading deeper, but this seems pretty good for "basic" grading.
