A very nice fit in the RED family. The R1 still has some serious life left in it. As to the other announcement, what were they thinking? Goose egg, imho.

Sold. Really. I am SO happy to be able to buy a new, and actually handleable, small camera instead of an used RED One. Couldn't been better. Thank you!
Question, maybe anyone figured this already out: is buying the body+SSD module only and elements included in the 'package' deal later more expensive than buying the package deal?

It saddens me that the 2/3 with 8x lens has been buried. I was ready with my visa today.. now I am not so sure.

Hey! I can check Reduser again! Really impressed with what RED was able to do with Scarlet, but can't wait to get our EPIC-X! Also like that the RED ONE still sits happily in between.
