dont know if its been mentioned, but some are reporting another Canon offering also, with 4k raw?

canon are weird if this is true..

It's funny because I'm 100 times more excited about this camera over the crap that they announced. It may become Scarlets little brother in my mind and replace the void by the 8x. I had thought 8x plus an epic-s. Of course I'm really thinking Scarlet X, Epic X and one of these Canon C's.

I must say yesterday was amazing!!! 1st Prize to Scarlet X, 2nd to Avid (for releasing the real FCP X and open I/O), and 3 Prize to Canon for their new DSLR C camera we know little about, but sounds great! Raspberry award to Canon's 4k camera.

Good job from RED beating Canon. Canon will have to hurry with their new Cinema DSLR if they want to be back in the $10-15k battle.

Do you think the Side handle will ship with the kits on Dec 1 or are we looking for February on this? It will be key for anyone that does not have red bricks to power or who need to shoot away from power? Just want to know what to expect.

Hi,

I have placed an order for Scarlet kit. It's my first order from Red.
I have received confirmation e-mail. But I thought I was supposed to place 10% deposit upfront... which I was not asked to.
Am I supposed to wait for customer rep to contact me in order to place a deposit?
I'm based in EU if that changes anything.
