    Hey Red guys,

I don't really like to pressing the people here but i need an answer to my questions, maeby for someone are stupid questions but for me aren't.
Or really can't you answer ?

The AI Canon mount of the Scarlet can transmit continuos atofocus in rec mode to my EF lens?
I need to know the bitrate in the different record mode to calculate how much SSD to buy.

    Thanks for understand me

I'm a bit confused... After January 1st, the Scarlet brain will cost $9700, and that doesn't include the SSD module and neither the lens mount?

I can't give you the bitrates (but I think at 4K 24P 7:1 is nearly 42MB/sec or 336Mb/sec if my maths are good) but I can give you the charts of approximate recording times on SSD (24fps) depending on the compression choice : http://www.ryanewalters.com/download...ecordTimes.pdf

As far as I know, the Canon Mount does not support continuous autofocus but supports touch focus and is really fast as hell for that (less than a second on the last demo video they posted here).
But for further info I think Jarred should step in.^^

Are these determined by the hardware's limitations or could be eventually modified via firmware update?
Good questions. As a digital stills and motion camera, there certainly is an expectation of Scarlet and Epic supporting common features found on digital still cameras. 30 second exposures (or optionally longer manual exposures), as well as time lapse/interval photography are bread and butter features of many of todays digital still cameras. I'd love to know if Scarlet supports these functions.

Actually is there a Scarlet manual anywhere that may have a more comprehensive feature list? I guess that'll come later.

And for Jarred or anyone at Red... I may have missed the information but when a Nikon mount will be available and what kind of lenses will it take ? (will it take those with electronic aperture control ?)

Frame Rates on Scarlet can go down to 1FPS for a motion stream. Time lapse functions will come (eventually) for anything longer.

Nikon mount shipping in small numbers December, but still waiting on software... yes it is a mechanical smart mount that controls aperture.

Thank you for answer my question.
Hope mr. Jarred can confirm that.

Is the AF only for Nikkor lenses with the internal focus motors, or have your wizards been able to squeeze a motor drive as well?

I must admit I'm a Canon chap so out of touch with Nikon. I'm not sure how relevant the motor drive is; is it just for legacy glass or do you need it for the recent stuff. The 14-24/24-70/70-200 f2.8 triplets seem really appealing.
Maybe the video game is good.
