I saw a red scarlet in a shop today, must have been a couple hundred dollers,

...it was a usb audio line recorder box colored red ;)

Ohh, if only it had been a real low priced scarlet.
Reputation is something the unwise apply.

HM, I do not know if this is the place for a vote for some functionality expansion in the Scarlet.

Since the Scarlet is limited in computing, it would be swell to have an option where we could have 4:3 or 3:2 cropping of the sensor together with HDRx. In that way the Scarlet would fill the need for combining video with plenty of motion (not widescreen though - that has to go) with sharp stills that use the full or most of the height of the sensor. I am coming from the print industry, and the need for 2:1 format is limited. The 4:3 and 3:2 formats and variations of them are of course very much used.

Thank you for all the options in there already.

Since this is the feedback thread.

    THIS CAMERA IS THE SHIT!!!
I've used DSLRs, Sony FX1 and EX1 with Letus and all this shit, but this camera makes incredible pictures.

I've the camera now for 3 weeks and am about to shoot my second Musicvideo now this weekend with Scarlet.
Workflow is so easy with Premiere. Especially R3ds save me a lot of time. No more denoising and bullshit.

Thank you so much for this camera.

    +1

It would be the best improvement for the Scarlet. I love to see the Scarlet 5K 4:3 or 4K 4:3 mode so I can also use a anamorphic lens with higher frame rate/HDRx.

Jarred, please consider this option for your next Scarlet firmware.
