There have been other changes (5" LCD from 2.8", Titanium PL mount, SSD from CF modules) - perhaps that got dropped off to balance things out. I would like XLR connections and another LCD port though.

That is correct... apples to apples its actually a better package than we originally offered.

sorry, this is a stupid question, but does stage 3 begin before stage 2 is ended? I'm on the stage 2 list but don't know when to expect the email about it. So the stage 3 announcement is coming sooner than I expected.

They don't start shipping until Dec.

I think (hope!) that they will deal with us stage II stragglers by then!
