I'll be getting the stage 3 package, which includes the Touch LCD, but I'm wondering if I should also buy the EVF? The LCD that I've been using with my RedOne has been adequate, but not so much in sunny situations. More annoying than sun though, is when people walk up next to me and watch over my shoulder at what I'm filming. It makes me feel claustrophobic and I have this weird feeling like they're critiquing my framing, which I always hate. Would the EVF be useful to deter the "what are you filming" crowd? Are there other benefits to the EVF that make it worth purchasing? Also, considering that the touch screen could potentially provide a much quicker user interface, is the EVF going to ultimately become an unused second-class viewing solution?

I think it is almost impossible to shoot with out a view finder in direct sunlight. Even a hood doesn't cut it for me.

Haven't tried but I quite like this idea: http://www.smallhd.com/Products/DP4.html as I prefer shooting with a monitor when possible. Now if someone made one for the RED 5" Touchscreen....
