I have been a little under the weather recently but, I am proud to announce a little mini project about my Grandfather - DUKE ELLINGTON. I will document the rediscovery or these Masters my Father gave me before he passed. Finding out what's on them as you do should be fun as well. You see, Duke at times left labels inside these tapes with the recording sessions on them and other times did not. In any event. I will post pictures as soon as I set everything up, but they have been received.

... of course this will be documented on the camera fit for a Duke -- My Epic M 'Mick' on RED DIGITAL CINEMA.

It must be both exciting and scary for you to explore these old recordings, for fear of damaging them? Hope they are in good shape!

As someone who has dealt with licensing and property, specifically that of my Grandfather Duke Ellington, I must aggree with Jim and Jarred. They absolutely have a right to see any and all documentation regarding products made for their cameras. I know this will be un-popular but I am ok with that. I am comfortable with who I am.

This issues doesn't make anyone else a bad person. I always am surprised when people don't know why RED would want consideration, and also another thing that isn't talked about, value of goods they have built up, stays safe.

I hope everything is resolved but I am firmly on Jim and Jarred's side. RED should have final approval on anything that is made specoifially for their cameras.

    Hate me? Sorry.

Mobile Rocket -- I am so happy that since I bought a top of the line iMac a year ago I can finally use my rocket card. Here are the laurel I had to put on it.

I love RED, and Jarred, and Mr. Jannard for sure. People don't always get to see the good that you do and let me tell u first hand. Mr. Jannard is is as much a humanitarian as he is business owner. I can also hope to give back a bit of what you do for people like me.

Fro the bottom of my heart, I love you, and thank you.

Some products are too cheap, and others are too expensive. RED always to me seems fair for the amount of work and man-hours put in. In the case of company let's call the "Blah, Blah Blah". the originate in Denmark where we have close to a 300% luxury tax which of course any manufacturer would send off to it's customers. I am from Denmark, the Government is fairly greedy there. Good healthcare system but great. When it comes to manufacturing rigs for us working professionals, high-end priced shoulder mounts should at least have some kind of wireless connectivity. The is merely a heads up, not calling anyone out but know that someone with a machine-shop in Europe does not a accessory inventer make. If the pricey came down do Earth and they had an office in California 0r New York then maybe (and only after getting clearance on patents) would I consider using a piece of kit from them. Unfortunately some people come to REDUser with $$ in their eyes, we are a smart bunch and generally keep people in check. Always be careful and if in doubt contact RED and ask them if there guys are kosher.

    Those are my two cents.

Through all the hoopla from Oakley to RED there is no doubt that Jim Jannard is my hero. First his technology paved the direction for what I would be doing for the rest of my life, and then he stepped in and offered a helping hand in something unrelated to filming or movies. I adore him, I am a 33 year old heterosexual male and will probably never accomplish what he and team RED has. He is a nice guy, compassionate & loving. Maybe I am over sensitive this morning but know Mr. Jannard I will be there for you if I can in any way possible. Already all of my projects are, or will be shot on RED, plain and simple.

So thank you Jim, Jarred, and Team RED.

    RED ACQUISITION IS MY POSITION.

    Lovingly.
