    So here is my issue,

We shot a 30sec Spot on an REDONE.

We edited the spot with ProRes Proxy 1920x1080 Quicktimes in Final Cut Pro 7.

Reconnected to the Quicktime proxy files.

Sent to Color, Rendered out in 1920x1080 ProRess 422

    Spot aired.

We moved the R3D files to a different volume.

Months later Client wants to ReAir the spot but with some slight changes.

Opened the FCP file, reconnected the R3D files, and Color Files, Saved

Reopened the file, now we get this

If we let it sit there it will take about 4 hours then it will open (if it doesn't crash)

    OR

If we sopt it this comes up

And we have to choose every R3D file for it to find.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

You could probably automate the process if you are good at scripting, but here is a manual fix if there aren't too many files.

Open each of the QuickTime proxy files (RED proxies, not ProRes) in QuickTime Player Pro. Wait while it finds the matching R3D(s). Save.

Or you could make new QuickTime Proxies in REDCINE-X.
