Redmotes are going out in good supply right now as you have been reading from the customers. ... 3 more weeks to mop those up for all orders.

Side Handles we had a supply issue for the rubber grips.. we are resolving that and should get caught up in January.

These updates are great. I have a side handle on order. No rush on delivery, but good to know the status. Thanks so much Jarred.

Rep told me today there are no plans for a trade-in / exchange program for those of us who want to get orders in before the price increases but want a Nikon instead of Canon mount (aka those of us who like to use good lenses :P ). You guys should reconsider that, by the way.

So I'm really looking forward to an update on the Nikon mount.

At the very least I hope if the Nikon mount becomes available before my package ships, I can change my order from Canon to Nikon without losing the pre-January-1st price...

All the basic Cage bits ( top, bottom, side adapters and ribs ) started shipping yesterday. need a week or so to determine a timeframe status.

    Hi Jarred,
If I ordered a Side Handle with a SCARLET package on Nov 3rd, does that mean I will not get the handle before January?

Nikon mount is taking a backseat right now... We ( as you can see ) need to do some catching up on everything else, and the Nikon mount has proven to be a magnitude more complicated than any other mount we have engineered.

Nikon, god bless them, tried to keep the F mount alive for 50 years but recent changes with the AF-D and the G has created a bit of a cluster... protocols are all tangled up.. different amount of pins for electronics... Add to that requiring an actual mechanical actuator inside the lens to control the iris on some ( of course the good ones ) lenses, and then that actuator gets in the way of other lenses.

If you are hoping for an even swap/exchange for a canon mount it is unrealistic.. the Nikon mount , as it sits, is going to be more expensive.

It will till come.. but I can officially tell you there is no set date right now as the last round of prototypes and the ones that have been out in testing have proven not to be the final design.
