i have a few questions, hopefully someone can bring any light in the dark.

is it possible to use 16 / s16 lenses on the scarlet x ?

is the pl mount of 35mm lenses the same as the pl mount on 16mm lenses ?
if not: is there any adapter which can enable this ?

if the answer is yes: which part of the sensor will be covered by 16mm lenses ? 2k or 3k ?

i'm asking this, because i'm doing wide angle shots the most of my time, and i need also the higher framerates at 2k and 3k...

    thank you, norbert

Yes it´s the same mount, and you can use s16/16mm glass.
2K will be covered, 3K depends on the lens but most probably will introduce vignetting at the corners.

I am very happy with Red's announcement, but a part of me really wished for a 2/3 camera because of all the wonderful 16mm PL glass out there that is starting to really find itself without purpose, since the market has really shifted to S35mm sensors on digital cameras.

There are some really great and little known lens series for 16mm.

Standard 16mm lenses will cover 2k. Some S16mm lenses may cover 3k at longer focal lengths, but someone posted their process for shooting 3k on S16 glass and cropping in post to about 2.5k.
I will say that 2k on Epic is much better than 2k on R1 was and Scarlet should be the same as Epic in this respect. 16 PL is the same as 35 PL. Several shooters, Kip Kubin comes to mind, shot some excellent 2k footage using lenses like the Cooke 9-50 T2.5 zoom on R1. I have a handful of 16mm glass I'm looking forward to playing with.
