    Hey folks,

Just wondering what the thread size for the compact primes (cp.2) is? Been looking around, can't find the exact measurements. Maybe 46mm?

    Thanks.

They have 114mm hard fronts except the 50mm macro which if I remember correctly is 134mm.

Thanks David. Specifically what's the right mm for a uv filter?

It's a hell of a lot bigger than 46mm, I'd say around 110. They are not really designed to put a uv filter on them via threads but rather to use a mattebox.

Cheers. Thanks for the info Shane. I guess my question now is how would a uv/haze be applied with a circular polarizer and an nd filter in succession with a two stage matte box if you can't thread in the uv filter?

Does your matte box have a 138mm back?
Do you really need a UV/Haze filter?

Red pro matte box, so 110, 114, and 142mm available there. I'm not in a critical state to use a uv/haze at the moment, but I was trying to think of a scenario if I were to use one. Thanks for the sound advice.

I have CP .2 21 and 50mm, both have a "curvy" part where you really have to mattebox (I don't see how you'd put on a screw on filter). I personally would like a light weight (carbon fiber) matte box that i could put some filters in (also protect the zeiss glass). Would love to know it if anyone has a good light weight mattebox they have used with zeiss compact primes.
