There have been a few of threads on the topic of warranty coverage, so I recommend you search for those to find out the implications of purchasing a RED ONE not directly from RED.
As Jarred said, that is an incorrect assumption. How would a buyer (or RED, for that that matter) know if the camera was "unused" by the original buyer?
If you buy a camera from some entity OTHER than directly from RED, you can send in the camera for an evaluation (see: RED Re-Certified Warranty in the RED Terms & Conditions). For a fee, we will evaluate the camera. We will provide a quote to bring camera back to current RED specs. If customer approves quote (ie, pays for parts and labor), RED will perform repairs, as needed. Then, RED - at its discretion - can offer the RED Re-Certified Warranty.
So, yes, we offer a non-original purchaser warranty coverage. But it is NOT the original purchaser warranty.
I could go on, but I'd be repeating what has already been said in other threads.

a sticky on the warranty/re-selling subject would certainly avoid a lot of confusion and the need to re-invent the wheel. yo, mods!
Question though, what if the buyer and seller met at Red HQ and did the exchange. Then you guys would know for sure that it was not used.. I'm sure you probably won't do this though because it would cause mayhem.
