Does anyone have any direct experience with the Bomb vs. lets say Zacuto? Is it worth the money? Is there a noticeable difference in quality, etc?

    Thank you

The zacuto is not in the same category as the Bomb evf. Although the Zacuto may be nice for a dslr, the bomb is vastly, vastly superior. The ability to judge focus, and make critical image analysis with the bomb EVF is far and away superior to the zacuto.

A better alternative might be the Small-HD DP4-EVF. Anyone have any experience with it?

Because i already own one (DP4) for my MK II, I was gonna use it instead of forking out for the bomb..at least initially. Definatley not as ergonomic and streamlined (or aesthetically pleasing!) as the bomb, + the detail through the bomb is indeed the bomb. Hard to quantify whether DP4 is only 1/4 as good optically (i would say half!) ..but is is certainly 1/4 the price and it has nice peaking and presets + good setup options and its own power. Plus the people at Small HD are really nice and do great after sale!

I'm sticking with my Zacuto... It has a great image, its light and maneuverable and is not going to cost me $3,200! I do eventually plan on getting the bomb. But for the time being I'm buying a couple more batteries and SSDs.
