  1. #1 Possible Redvolt field battery tests on Scarlet X? And RED brick questions
If anyone here that gets there Scarlet X soon can give the redvolts a true field test on the Scarlet X not the Epic and see how much longer they last on the Scarlet vs the Epic it would be very helpful for us in deciding how many redvolts to buy..... also on another note, What cables/components Etc.. would you need to use the red bricks on Scarlet X? not sure how to mount this bad boy or what exactly is needed to connect it to the cam, and is it possible to use more than one brick at one time or one redvolt and brick at the same time? sorry for our ignorance but we want to make sure of everything to spend our money the right way and properly add the components, thanks to all in advance =)

I'll be getting 4 Rv's, I planned on 6-8, but found a better power source option. Instead of spending 2 grand on a backpack and quickplate, then more on power I can add this sucker http://www.viewfactor.net/index.php/...j-top-x-1.html

And power for about the same price as a backpack and quickplate w/o power.

Thought I'd share with you guys as something to consider. I'll let you know what kind of run times I get off both but I don't think this is an option you can pass up if you want to run Bricks. It was a no brainer to me. I shoot outside in the cold and while RV's are nice, I like the idea of this set up even more. The pictures show the simplicity of how easy it is to connect. Before when I was considering Bricks I was looking at a belt clip (heavy and awkward for shooting in some instances) and the additional cable you had to buy for $190. And attaching it to the camera seemed like a better fit for my work.

That's exactly what I've been looking for - thanks for passing it along.

I'm curious to know exactly which V-mounts you're thinking of going with - and what sort of runtimes you think you can expect vs redvolts?
(obviously bricks will run longer... I'm just not sure how much longer)

Sounds like a lot of us are in the same boat, trying to find the most budget friendly usable kit to get us started.

Cheers Jeffrey (and Zac) Much appreciated.
I have three RED volts coming - and was thinking on perhaps an additional 6 RV's plus a quad charger.
But this looks like the way to go to me too. What batteries do you plan to use with this plate of you don't mind me asking?

    Best
