I really tempted to go with Leica lenses instead of Canon or PL. I heard the Leica-M lenses are going up in price starting Jan. 1, 2012.

I don't know much about still lenses... The entire Leica-M range covers FF35 right? How large of an image circle do they go?

Just want to be as future-proof as possible....

Great news!!!!!!!

But the history of getting the first Leica M and R lenses and also Noctilux-M 50mm f/1.0 and Noctilux M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH belongs probably to me.

Even I've lost RED1 warranty, all R1 free upgrades and also main upgrade to Epic X just because of that experiment.

But the early members of the forum know that well.

Even I had a big hope in 2007 that Jim would put some money in development of Leica Summilux-C lenses.

But the things changes today.

Everybody wants to get Leica M or R lenses on Epic and Scarlet.

And I'm always thinking in advance and now I want RED new sensor (aka RED Dragon) as soon as possible (that also has 20.000+ ISO with a super clean noiseless image).

But that's me.

In my "kitchen" I'm cooking a special adapter that can get Leica M and R lenses on Scarlet (that I still didn't make order after Nov. 3rd Canon C300 high ISO shock or f**k)

that means I would be able to swap on Scarlet in a zig-zag way all focal lengths available starting from 15mm to 400mm (talking about the focal range of Leica M & R lenses I have).

Looking forward to see the footage.

On the picture at the beginning of the tread Pier 59 Studio has an older version Noctilux M 50mm f/1.0

that has more COMA (a sort of blue ring around the lights at wide open) than the newest, the best and the fastest Noctilux ever, Noctilux M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH.
