CatDV is a very nice application for cataloging rushes [LINK]

It has an option for publishing web pages from it's databases of media. It was originally designed to work with DV media, as that inherrently has a lot more meta-data that media captured over SDI. It would be interesting to see how that would work with RED media.

However both ideas would be very usefull. Since REDCINE batch processes to Quicktime Movies, what you need is an automatable application that can look at a folder full of QTs, and produce a web page or DVD of all the takes, complete with thumbnails and burned in meta-data. Indeed you could potentially take REDCINE out of the equation, as with the codec, the original REDCODE files would be seen by such an application as QTs which it could work from.

Anybody know of an application which could do this? Or anybody want to write one?
This should be pretty easy to do with AppleScript, on the Mac. You could even set up a folder action so new footage added to the folder was processed automatically, without the user having to manually run the script.
You should follow me on Twitter here.

Probably a watch folder of some sorts.. think AE or Compressor can do this.

A new specific app would be cool

Content Agent XR by ROOT 6 - too expensive - but amazing

LEOPARD SERVER will feature an application called 'PODCAST PRODUCER" - which has "worflows", etc. - we should see that at NAB - based on my conversation with the Apple product manager - I'm not sure what they are going to do with Compressor - because this app will be MUCH more robust - we shall see -

I am waiting to see what Graeme, Rob & the Team put in REDCINE - and what they intentd to do - but YES - my company is specifically interested in automated workflows w/ RSS integration, FTP uploads, watermarking, metadata burn-in, email alerts, etc. - so, we are interested in hiring or partnering with a "mad programmer" - but I want to see REDCINE and Leopard Server first -
