    Hey guys.

Curious as to what you guys choose for your Color Space and Gamma Space for your exports.

Do you just leave it as it's shot on the camera? or do you return it to RedColor2 for Color Space and REDgamma2 for Gamma space? Does this give post more room to grade once they receive the transcoded (prores 422(hq) 2k ) files?

Or does that not even affect the exported files?

If "as it's shot in camera" is giving you Rec709/Rec709 it must be a VERY old R3D file you are looking at. Those settings are only really still in there for historical backwards compatibility, and I would not recommend you use them.

I would suggest REDcolor2 as the colour space and either REDgamma2 if you plan to grade "like video", or my preferred option is REDlogFilm, but then you need to grade with a log to video display LUT.

Small sales pitch, I have a REDlogFilm to REDgamma/REDgamma2 LUT for Apple Color which you can buy at http://www.antlerpost.com/plugins for a mere $30! I can also convert the LUT to other formats if required.
