We have made the jump from FCP to PP.

I have a question that I am kind of embarrassed to have to ask.

When naming our r3d files in PP will we be able to maintain the link to the original raw files once we export via xml to resolve? Just trying to think ahead to the on-line and keep it all working through out the post process.

    Cheers,
    Travis

The safest route is to rename, or batch rename if you have lots of files, in Redcine X before importing into Premiere, that way you'll keep sync all the way through.

I always batch rename my media in Adobe Bridge before I even import into Premiere. It's a good habit to get into and can save you from some headaches down the road. Just go to Tools->Batch rename and you'll have a bunch of options.
