    Hi Janne,

No worries, we'll be getting together soon again - let me know if you have any questions or if you want to have a look at it before you get your own!

Right now I'm looking into which different insurance options I have for my equipment. Things that I want to be covered:

    - when the equipment is inside the office
    - when it's rented out
    - when i'm using it for my own stuff
    - worldwide coverage

Right now it seems like Gefvert will offer the best solution, but Trygg Hansa and Länsförsäkringar might be options too. Gefvert's worldwide "objekförsäkring" is 12 450kr on a 300 000kr investment - if you join OFF (www.off.se) - joining OFF might be a good idea anyway (it's 1200kr/year which includes free legal help and advice). Initially the Gefvert insurance wouldn't cover the gear if I or someone in the company would not be present, but after talking to them I'm getting a pretty good deal: I will provide them with a list of names (that I will keep updated) of people I trust to handle the camera - and it's enough if someone on this list is with the equipment.

I would be interested in hearing if people have any input on this - for instance:

    - experience with Gefvert
    - what this type of insurance should cover
    - what it doesn't need to cover
    - other companies that might be an option
    - should an insurance also cover for downtime during repair and maintenance?
    - should it cover for damages caused by the camera - or is that usually covered by the production company's own insurance?
    - what about excess (självrisk)? - how much should it be to be ok?
    - are there good and affordable options outside of Sweden that would be an option for me who lives in Stockholm?

See some of you tonight at Peter's!

Damn, I missed another fun Swedish get together!

Greetings from the Himalayas. Just finished the craziest shoot of my life with local Indian crew. So many things happened, one could write a novel on it.

Tip#1: If you are planning to shoot in India, bring at least all camera crew with you from Sweden. Tip#2: Don't let anyone wear bright orange clothes if there are bulls around. Tip#3: Keep your cables away from the local wild mouse in the nights.

Enjoy the pictures. Check out the improvised tripod on #39 after the locals forgot to bring one to the location.

    See you all soon, Daniel.
