    Hi there,

    We were about to add our order to the list, but just have a quick question...
    We're SO#6729 ordered 12/15 and for some reason have 2 BS Rep...Clyde Bessey & Kelsey Smith, whom we spoke with this afternoon. Just to confirm, based from THIS LIsT, the shipped Scarlets aren't following the SO# sequentially right?

    Has anyone spoke with their reps and discussed the new status update system RED is structuring? Essentially they will provide a specific date, or window as to when to expect their SX.

    Just wondering, thank you.

    I did post a while back, but since I've received my Scarlet today, i thought I would added here too.
    Scarlet #547 'la Calavera" ti PL mount. Ordered on 11/03 on the RED site around 11pm
    Allocation email on December 6th
    received, January 9th
    Not sure why the delay over a month after the allocation.
    received the brain and batteries. Still waiting on the touch screen and side handle

    I don't know how they are shipping or choosing serial numbers. I got number 541 but I'm not sure there are that many out there already... kinda wanted a 2 digit serial, oh well.

    I'm confused as well..some people after me time wise and SO wise are having theres shipped already, even with the same mount, non event where I am still waiting. I've been allocated and some got there cameras as soon as last Friday and notifications of shipping Thursday, Friday and Monday. They've removed the funds for it just not really sure how it works. I'm not really upset just kind of confused at how they ship once they've sent the allocation email. How some take longer than others even if the order is before another...

    Same goes with the serials, you guys are all over the place haha.

    Gavin, did yours ship today? I just noticed they subtracted my funds as well, albeit much later. I still have $900 or so in there for the sidehandle, i'll have to add but that was before all the separate shippings they've done.

    My guess is that they are allocating the limited number of Scarlets available to VIPs first. I.e., reputable camera houses, big corporations, previous customers, and the friends of the 400 employees of Red etc.

    If you called up and ordered over the phone and said you were some big shot hollywood director, you might get your camera a few weeks earlier ;)

    Hey Jeffrey,

    I was specifically told by my 2 BS rep that they are aware of this list and informed me that they are not sequentially fulfilling the SX orders. We did lightly mention we would like to get some form of window in regards to delivery, as we handle a few high end automotive clients.

    Our rep simply supported the inquiry with..."We are working on the new status system to give you guys a more accurate date or window for your Delivery."

    So, I guess we'll simply wait. We did receive everything else, just awaiting the Main 4 items...Brain, Redmote, Handle & LCD.

    Dunno about that... I'm pretty much none of those things.
    I did own a RED One, but didn't buy it from RED. And, I've met and talked with a bunch of the guys including Jim and Ted ( Ted w/ Scarlet ). I guess I could be considered a reputable camera house - just not a big one.
    Of course I did get #541 not #2.

    *edit* Maybe I shouldn't let them know that.....

    I am actually a reputable big shot director friend of RED.

    I really dont think thats the case. So many of the early orders are to new customers.
